We had
so much fun dressing up and celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday. Thank you for all
of your help, time, donations, and to all of our guest readers!
This week, we will begin to celebrate St. Patrick's day with fun games, and reading and writing about catching leprechauns!
We will be taking a break from fluency passages in the books bags until further notice. Wanted to let you know in case you noticed it was not there.
Continue to work on your community service projects. These will be due at the end of May. Please see our Community Service Tab for more information and feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Last week your child came home with a special homework assignment - Build a Leprechaun Trap. This will be the Turn-In Homework portion of homework for this week and next week (week of March 7 AND the week of March 14.) Please note: the traps will be due in class no later than Wednesday, March 16th so we can do a special in class project with them.
What Are We Learning This Week?:
Sight Words: OVER, UNDER, LEFT, RIGHT, PUT.
Letter Team: DGE (sounding like "j" like in BADGE, LEDGE, and FRIDGE).
Reading: This week, we will read books about St. Patrick's Day, leprechauns, and Ireland.
Writing: We will write silly stories about how to catch a leprechaun.
Math: We will continue to work on our Daily Math Practice sheets, math stories, our fluency through 5, composing and decomposing, and ways to make 10.
Leadership: SELF-CONTROL.
